What is the GroVia Hybrid Diapering System?
GroVia is a modern, one-size diapering system. Its unique, waterproof shell and organic cotton soaker pad minimizes waste and cost. When the soaker pad is wet, simply replace with a fresh, dry one!
How does GroVia Hybrid work?
GroVia is designed so that the outer shells may be used for multiple diaper changes. If the soaker pad is wet, simply snap in a fresh one and you are ready to go. If the shell is wet, allow it to air dry and use for the next diaper change. When your GroVia Shell is soiled or very saturated, start fresh with a new GroVia Shell.
Most GroVia System users will find that using 2 - 4 GroVia Shells are enough per day, although newborn babies may need more.
How does the one-size feature on my GroVia Hybrid Shell work?
The GroVia Shell features three sets of rise snaps that adjust to fit your baby.
Newborn/Small Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the lowest setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and simply flip the front of the soaker pad in towards baby. Fasten diaper on baby.
Infant Setting: Snap your GroVia Shell rise snaps on the middle setting. Snap your soaker pad into the shell. Tuck the front of your soaker pad down, while pulling the front panel up and fasten on baby.
Toddler Setting: Leave your GroVia Shell rise snaps unsnapped. Snap your soaker pad into the shell and fasten on baby
How to care for your GroVia Hybrid Shells
• Your GroVia Shell and Soaker Pads can be washed together on warm with ½ the recommend amount of detergent
• A second rinse will leave your diaper squeaky clean
• While your GroVia Shells can be tumbled dry, we HIGHLY recommend line drying your shells. They will dry in less than two hours and will stay nice longer
• GroVia Organic Soaker Pads can be tumbled dried
Whiteners, bleach, vinegar, enzyme cleaners and fabric softeners are not your diaper’s friends and will void all Gro Via warranties.

PERFECT cloth diaper for squirmy baby in daycare Review by JDog
Value Quality Ease of Use Price With a daughter in a daycare that miraculously supported the use of cloth diapers, we were looking for the optimal day-time diaper system to take advantage of this situation. Thirsties covers + prefolds + liners worked for newborn - 8 months, but then she got too squirmy to try and coordinate getting a 3-part system onto her.
Our requirements:
(1) ease of laundering (= quicker drying time so I could wash and dry diapers midweek at night and still have the daycare bag packed for the next morning -- quicker than fitteds or pockets)
2) Cost effectiveness (= ability to buy and wash more absorbant inserts and fewer covers)
3) velcro tabs (for quick diaper changes).
The GroVia were met these requirements perfectly. Daycare providers loved these too, and found that the absorbent layers were far more absorbant than the infant-sized prefolds we had previously used -- less strong urine smell, too.
The only downsides we had were (1) a daughter who is super-tall for her age, so these diapers only lasted her until about 16 months (these should fit a normal-sized kid until about 24 months, I'd think), and (2) poop occassionally being squished in between the layers of the absorbent pad despite the use of a liner, and requiring more work than desired to get them off (I understand the newer GroVias use uses some kind of gusset to prevent this). LOVED these diapers at first Review by frustrated mom
Price Value Quality Ease of Use These were a god send to me at first. we had been using the thirstees with the prefolds, and now that our daughter is super busy... that is DIFFICULT! so these diapers with their two snaps and a velcro and you're ready to go. I became very angry when I noticed my daughter had started to leak a lot of urine through out the day. I noticed today that the elastic that keeps things "tight" in the diaper must have snapped sometime ago. Nothing angers me more than going out and spending over $400 on these things only to find out they last less than six months. (Posted on 12/19/10)
