The classic "Bummi Original" has evolved over the years to become the tried and true stash staple that it is today. It has the same great fit and features, but the new design and PUL make this a wrap that's as easy to care for as it is to use. Special features of THE ORIGINAL WRAP * Very trim and lightweight. * For use with inserts only: flat, prefold, or contour. * No elastic in the bindings for an extra gentle fit. Stretchy lycra bindings prevent leaks and are soft against baby's skin. * Overlapping Aplix tabs offer more adjustability. * The newborn size is ideal for tiny newborns, preemies, and multiples. * The small, medium and large sizes feature a unique Aplix design: an extra-wide panel across the tummy for greater adjustability and a perfect fit. We designed THE ORIGINAL WRAP with exquisite attention to detail; it's constructed from fabric and components sourced in North America, and it's proudly made in Canada. Care & Use * Remove diaper and wrap from baby. Shake off excess poop into the toilet. Secure velcro type tabs by sticking them to the fold back tabs (on the inside back of the wrap or diaper). * Put wet/dirty wraps with your dirty diapers in a pail or hanging wet bag. Never soak your wraps - it will break down the waterproof lining. * Wash every 2-3 days. Polyester wraps can be washed with your diapers * Use a minimal amount of a zero residue detergent. WASHING DIAPERS AND WRAPS 1. Run a cold pre-wash (or a short cycle with no detergent) 2. Do a regular wash in hot water (60C/140F max). Do not use a sanitize cycle on any products with Velcrotype closures or elastic. See detergent information below please! 3. Rinse diapers in lots of water to avoid build-up of detergent, bacteria and urine. 4. Dry in the dryer or outside on a clothesline (check the label of your product, as some products should only be hung to dry). Sunlight is a natural brightener and disinfectant! 5. Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight and still feel dry, yet it remains breathable, allowing maximum circulation around your baby's bum. It contains natural lanolin, which creates a waterproof barrier. Its elasticity means the cover fits well, yet moves with your baby. Wool is easy to care for. It doesn't need to be washed as often as other covers and it is naturally anti-bacterial. Caring for Wool Wool diaper covers and longies are easy to care for because wool does not need frequent laundering. The lanolin in the wool combined with the ammonia in urine create it's own soap. One way to know if your cover or longies need laundering (outside of being soiled) is if the urine smell does not go away after airing dry. This means the lanolin has worn thin and has lost most of its waterproofing as well. Wool covers require hand washing. Wash gently in lukewarm water with a mild soap. After washing, soak cover in warm water with lanolin for at least 30 minutes (or overnight). Roll in a towel to remove excess water and lay in a warm place to dry.

Made with a waterproof outer layer of PUL, 3 sewn in layers of high quality microfiber terry, and a layer of microfleece to keep baby's skin dry.

The diaper has pocket openings on both ends that allows you to increase the diaper's absorbency by adding extra inserts. This also enables any extra stuffed-in doubler or insert to agitate itself out in the wash. Half of the soaker pad is attached, while the other half also comes out through one of the pocket openings during the washing cycle. Wash and Care

Before using the diapers
The diapers need to be pre-washed before use. If you bought several diapers, you may want to pre-wash one or two first. We can only refund or exchange on unused/unwashed products.

Washing the Diapers
Keep your wet and dirty diapers in a diaper pail.

1. Wash your diapers in any temperature up to warm setting with the recommended amount of detergent per load as stated on the detergent’s box/bottle. Over-dosing on detergent also produces build up and is the single most common cause of leaking problems as it will leave residue causing your diapers to possibly leak, or leave baby with a rash. Using too little on the other hand, will cause your diapers to stink.
2. An additional rinse can be used for particularly soiled loads. Make sure that your diapers are rinsed clean. Any residue from poop, urine, detergent or vinegar can make your diapers smell.
3. Tumble dry on any temperature or line dry.

Do not use fabric softeners or diaper rash creams. Softeners & creams leave a waxy residue on the fabric making them less absorbent, water repellent and may potentially cause leaks. Be aware that if you use dryer sheets in your dryer for other laundry this can coat your dryer and transfer to your diapers. "Free and clear" type detergents and natural products and soaps are not recommended for diapers containing polyester because of the soap build up they tend to leave. This build up can cause repelling, leaks and rashes in sensitive skin.

Do not use bleach. This will cause the diaper's fabric & elastic to prematurely deteriorate.

Do not stretch the diaper while it is still warm. Allowing the diaper to cool after taking it out of the dryer will extend the life of its elastic.

Stain removal. If staining occurs, it is important that any products used on the diapers and covers to remove the stains are mild so as not to irritate the baby’s skin and/or cause the diapers to prematurely deteriorate. In most cases, laying the stained diapers out in the sun is the safest and most effective way of removing stains.

Wash and Care:

Before using the diapers:  wash and dry your diaper diaper cover in warm water (up to 140F) prior to first use.

General Wash & Care: Keep your wet and dirty diapers in a diaper pail.

Wash your diapers & inserts in warm water on regular cycle. Follow the recommended amount of detergent as stated on the soap's packaging based on your load size.

An additional rinse can be used for particularly soiled loads. Make sure that your diapers are rinsed clean. Any residue from poop, urine, or detergent can make your diapers smell. Tumble dry on warm or line dry.

Do not use bleach.  This includes Oxyclean or other oxygen-based bleach. These laundry additives will cause the fabric's fibers to break down. It will also cause the waterproof layer of the diaper to de-laminate. Do not use baking soda or vinegar in your wash. These are unnecessary and may cause problems in your diapers.

Do not stretch the diaper while it is still warm Allowing the diaper to cool after taking it out of the dryer will extend the life of its elastic. Use a liner with diaper rash creams Creams will leave a waxy residue on the fabric making them less absorbent, water repellent and may potentially cause leaks. If you need to use a rash cream, you should use a stay-dry liner or a piece of fleece between your baby's bottom and the diaper to prevent the cream from transferring onto the diapers. Stain removal If staining occurs, it is important that any products used on the diapers and covers to remove the stains are mild so as not to irritate the baby’s skin and/or cause the diapers to prematurely deteriorate. In most cases, laying the stained diapers out in the sun is the safest and most effective way of removing stains.

About Lansinoh Lanolin How is Lansinoh HPA Lanolin different from other lanolin? There are many refinements of lanolin from a crude industrial grade to our ultra pure medical grade. Lansinoh HPA Lanolin has been refined by a patented process to remove all allergenic components (identified as the free lanolin alcohols in combination with detergent residues left over from the wool scouring process) and to bring to the lowest level possible any environmental impurities (including pesticide residues). Because of the purity of Lansinoh HPA Lanolin, it does not have to be removed prior to breastfeeding. How can you guarantee Lansinoh HPA Lanolin is the purest? We routinely test our lanolin to make certain that it conforms to Lansinoh's specifications with regard to allergenic components and environmental impurities. Our specifications far exceed those set by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). Additionally, we are the only company providing lanolin with no preservatives (BHT) or detergent residues (an identified allergenic component) left over from the wool scouring process. Kite Fold: A simple way to fold the diaper for bigger babies approx 6 months or older. Wash & Care Before Using the Diapers Pre-wash flat diapers on hot at least once before use. The diapers will shrink approx 10%, become thicker, softer and more absorbent with the first few washes. Prints may fade slightly. Washing Flat Diapers Keep wet and dirty diapers in a ventilated diaper pail. Wash diapers in warm/hot water with 1/2 the recommended amount of detergent as stated on the detergent’s container. Too much or too little may cause your diapers to possibly stink, leak, or leave baby with a rash. A cold pre-rinse can be used for particularly soiled loads. Make sure that diapers are rinsed clean after washing. Any residue from poop, urine, detergent or vinegar can make your diapers smell. Tumble or line dry. Do Not Use Fabric Softener: Doing so will coat the diapers making them water repellent and reduce the absorbency of the diaper. *If you use dryer sheets in your dryer for other laundry this can coat your dryer and transfer to your diapers. Do Not Use Bleach: Doing so will cause the fabric's fibers to break down rapidly. Do Not Use Rash Creams with Fish Oil: Creams with fish oils will leave a waxy residue on the fabric making them less absorbent, water repellent and may potentially cause leaks. If rash cream is needed, use a liner between your baby's bottom and the diaper to prevent the cream from transferring onto the diapers. If staining occurs, it is important that any products used on the diapers and covers to remove the stains are mild so as not to irritate the baby’s skin and/or cause the diapers to prematurely deteriorate. In most cases, laying the stained diapers out in the sun is the safest and most effective way of removing stains.
