Breastfeeding Back to Work
Thinking about transitioning back to work and wondering how breastfeeding is going to fit in with that? Wondering how to build your freezer stash, or have questions about pumping, bottle-feeding, how nursing changes, or just generally anxious about the upcoming shift in routine? This workshop will answer all your questions and help you develop a plan to ease you, babe, and family through this unique part of your life.
This workshop is intended to address the concerns of postpartum parents and supportive partners. Babes-in-arms are welcome. Expectant families are welcome in our Breastfeeding Basics workshop and then can attend this one (Breastfeeding Back to Work) once baby arrives. Ideally, families will attend this workshop when baby is 1-3 months old, and/or several weeks before the breastfeeding or chestfeeding partner goes back to work.
$40 for 1-2 adults. Partners strongly encouraged to attend. Non-mobile babies welcome.
About the instructor
Caitlin Inglis, CLC is a Certified Lactation Counselor and mother of two. Her love of breastfeeding and the amazing strengths of mothers and their bodies led her to become a CLC. She completed her training and passed the CLC Examination through the Center for Breastfeeding, the premier national certification program in lactation management for the United States, administered by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP). Caitlin is passionate about helping mothers and families to be informed as they begin and navigate their unique breastfeeding journeys. She draws on her background in theatre, her lactation training, as well as her own experiences nursing two boys while counseling mothers and families. Although she honors the challenging experiences of mothering through breastfeeding in American culture, Caitlin helps everyone remember to look for the joy and humor in work, life, and even breastfeeding.
Caitlin also enjoys facilitating our Postpartum Parents Group which meets at Diaper Lab on a drop-in (no pre-registration required) basis every Wednesday morning from 10 AM - 11:30 AM. Parents and babies up to 6 months of age are always welcome!
