Diaper Lab is a grassroots, minority and family owned business that has been a part of the Camberville and greater Boston community for over 15 years.  We provide expectant and new parent workshops/groups and specialize in cloth diapering, babywearing, breastfeeding products and services including a quickly growing diaper service.  We believe in shopping and learning locally and are committed to social justice and being good stewards of our community.  When possible we try to employee parents just like us!

Diaper Service Delivery Driver - Several Positions Available

Candidate will have a clean driving record, Massachusetts driver's license, and own or have access to a reliable personal vehicle to deliver laundry bags of clean diapers and retrieve (closed) dirty bags from customers.  Deliveries will also include package orders from our Diaper Lab retail/online store in Davis Square.  

Ideal candidate will be detail oriented (able to check and double check correct bags are going to the correct customers) and can use your own smart phone and install a route app that will generate the optimized driving route for each delivery. Driver will be comfortable using on phone for texting customers upon delivery.  Driver will be familiar with driving in the greater Boston area including Somerville, Cambridge, Medford, Arlington, Watertown, Jamaica Plain, Brookline, Back Bay, etc. and adjusting routes as needed to accommodate incidental changes. 

Routes Available:

• Sunday/Wednesday Evenings from 8pm - 11pm/12pm  (available now)
• Monday/Thursday Evenings from 8pm - 11pm (available now)
• Monday/Thursday Mornings from 9am  - 1pm/2pm (available now)

As the service grows, there may be additional availability and the duration of individual routes may change.  This is a contract job position.  Compensation will be paid as a contractor for an hourly rate (range is $18-$21 hourly depending upon experience) plus $0.75/mile for gas/car use.  This is an excellent part time job for a student or parent or someone looking to supplement their income.  The Diaper Service is located in Ball Square, Somerville (right on the Somerville/Medford line).  All routes will start and end at this location.

Applicant may choose to do all of the routes available or as few as one route per week. Applicant needs to be consistent with which routes they choose to do.
